thats going to be one smokey room if there is no place in the chimney for smoke to go up. but then again i come from a tropical country where we only hear about fireplaces im myths so i might be wrong hehehehe kidding. its really cool. i think if you put a crap load of stuff to make the place feel less...empty then it would be awsome

      Lobby

Oops.... didn't catch that. It just doesn't seem alive to me. It to 13 hours to render and I am not happy with it. I started with a Evermotion interior. Couple questions.... do you use LWF for interiors? How about physical camera and vray sky/sun? Any tips?

A couple of things that I notice off the bat.

The people hugging... don't really add to the scene; seem kinda somber. Plus.. wearing shorts and t-shirts with a fire going?

Not sure if you'd mount a animal like that.

Is that a picture of Jar Jar Binks in the back corner by the stack of wood?

        Where's this space located?

Rendering is looking good. I agree with the above mentioned comments. One thing I noticed is your scene is a little over saturated (floor color is bleeding into the walls, fire place, etc.). I would turn down your saturation level under the Indirect Illumination panel fron 1 to a .7 or .6.

it looks to me like you have too much diffuse light which is even-ing it out too much
the red-pink carpet must be tinting everything - have you tried reducing GI amount on that?
the model does have all four walls and a full ceiling?
the cut stones on the front of the chimney and the mortared bricks inside it should match up and be either one or the other I think!

the girls face is right in the fireplace, yet it is dark and in the shadows
and there is no glow from the fire on anything,
and 13hrs seems a bit too long for this render.
Maybe you should choose between nice and warm feel of the fireplace and forget the daylight, or go for a really nice day and sun filled room with a hint of fire.
              that's my two cents
