I like the lighting on the second image. The roof and stonework looks a bit flat to me, have you used any displacement or bump on these?

I like the second better too... I didn't use diplacement because of time issues. I am sure the client will come back with tweaks and for the final image I'll spend more time with materials and more time in post. Some of the trees are post and some are in the model. For the final I'll use all proxy trees so they are all the same. Does anybody have a good resource for VRAY cars? I want a couple good cars that are VRAY ready.

I use 3d cars from www.sugar3d.com a lot. The ones we have come in low, medium and high res and work really well with vray, although occasionally the material on the hubcaps can cause white blobs on renders.

I don't think their VRAY ready though.

looking good, Would like to see some refelections of the glass in the 2nd image. Grass is nice and maybe a more promintent wood texture over the BBQ area, have you tried vray disp on the stone walls?

i think your earlier images were better.
                        The trees are too saturated

Take some greenness from the trees and put it on the grass
The grass doesnt look very inviting at the moment IMO

                              Ugh!

I like some of the first and some of the second... to be fair I did the second set accross a VPN and it looked much better on my screen at home. I think if I use the tweaks in the model of the second one and render it on the machine I am looking at it will work.

Question: any need for the vray dome light with a HDRI since we now have vraysun/sky?
