here's a quick night shot...still a bit cartoony but i lessened the peeled effect. hopefully i'll get a chance to revisit this in the future and address all of your suggestions.

Very Nice! My only crit is the cones look a little to glossy and reflective IMO (maybe to much specular).

Very nice work. As far as an artistic composition the only thing that bugs me are all the brand new traffic cones and the caution strip, they kind of don't fit in the picture for me, I can't think of a reason they would be there. At first I thought between the circle with the caution strip there was going to be a white outline of a body on the pavement.
