          From manual
Currently VRayMtl supports only single-bounce scattering.
Khem, is there any news ?
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

            Hi,

very nice. Did you work further on the hybrid model or did you start a different approach?

            Best regards,

            Dieter

i like it. i wonder what the render time was. And how much more rendertime it would take to completely remove any noise from the SSS. Theres just a bit left I can see.

This is the said new "Hybrid" SSS model in VRayMtl. I rendered it with PPT overnight, so it's hard to say what the render time exactly was. The noise is mostly because of refractive GI caustics, I think - maybe I should have disabled these.

                          Best regards,
                          Vlado

Here is also one more, the model is by Marc Mordelet (aka visionmaster2 on CGTalk) from this thread: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthre...22#post4174297

I just played with the skin material a bit:

                              Hey Vlado, wicked render.

Could you post the mat settings for that (first render). I know it wont work until we get out hands on RC4 final, but I have always had trouble creating a good soap SSS material, and that one with a few tweaks would be perfect.
