Nice one CCS. Care to share you roofing material? The vignetting seems a little too strong and I'd like to see those background trees 3d so they don't clash with the forground trees. But that would hurt the rendertime of course. Maybe the concrete should be lighter given the clear bright day?

Nice work Scott as usual. I guess the only thing I see is the really white vents up top...Perhaps tone those down a smidge....or a skoche'
Roofing and cedar shakes look great. Did you use vray camera?
Looks good Scott....but everyone...don't be fooled by the woods. There aren't any behind it . There's another set of old condos. You know I just have to pick on you a little. They look good though. From what's already built, the colors are a little off here. There does seem to be some curbs missing.
Now that I've been away from the job for a bit, I see plenty of other items for changing. I thought this project was going to be resurrected, but it didn't happen, so I doubt I'll do much more with this. Not for a while anyway.
Thanks for the positive comments. I'll try and respond a bit....
@powerandrubber: I don't follow about "vignetting seems a little too strong". I agree about the mismatch between the FG 3D trees and the BG plate. The FG trees could use a bit of work, and the BG plate is a crap bit I threw together from some Googly images. Concrete probably *should* be lighter too. Good call.
@EricCamper: Good call. Looks like I still have default mat on them. Like I said, looking now I see plenty of mat tweaks I'd like to make.
@Dman3d: I don't follow. What am I missing? And yes, I reworked this scene to use Lele's 0.255 method. All I've been using lately. (Lele - how does it feel to have a "method" named after you? )
@jacksc02: My mistake for not giving Chris the credit for the original setup of this scene. Originally this was a distant aerial shot and Chris set it up. Did a bang-up job of it too. I reworked the scene to use the Lele New Wave (0.255 ) and did some other work to make it stand up better to a closeup. If you weren't so busy (cuz he's good), maybe I'd have hired you for this stage too! :P (Good thing I didn't though since the client bailed)
@cs_sean: Ah, but you've been fooled! This is not the one that is currently up. This is the one that will be farther up the hill to the west (by the TART trail) and facing the bay, so yes it will have woods behind it. Not quite like the crap plate I used, but similar. And these are the colors the client approved to me before construction, so contact the painters! :P Curbs are actually there. I modelled roll curbs per the grading plan, so they're tough to see. Not sure if that's what they ended up building though. Regardless, you're right - they don't show up well in this view. Dunno if it's model, mat, lighting..... At this point, I probably won't trace it down.
