  • Louis Poulsen Fixture

Here is just a simple test I made to try out the Louis Poulsen 3d/CAD library.
You pick the fixture in AutoCAD and click convert to 3d, and it just does it. Then I imported model into 3dsmax and appleid materials/lighting, etc.
In this case i chose the Kipp Wall fixture.
Hope you like it. i did this awhile ago, but I think I tried the vray2sidedmtl.

      Hi,

As memory serves, it was a mix using a standard tile procedural map, but the color and fade variance were up around ~9. There was also a similar bump, too. I downloaded a material from vray-materials.de and tried it out. What you see is this material after I screwed around with it to suit my liking.
vray-materials.de really has some great stuff, but I find some of them need significant adjustment to work in inches units in a large architectural scene. These tiles were pretty good to start with, I think I only made changes for scale, and bump values. Hope it helps.
I think the original material was posted by LevaLeva?

      Thanks
      JR

Louis Poulsen will soon be uploading Max files of our lighting fixtures on our web sites (as I-drop)... the US website will be the first.

So if you can wait, please do so by the way the current installation programme for LP3D is outdated, only the following versions of Acad is ok.

          AutoCAD LT 2000
          AutoCAD LT 2000i
          AutoCAD LT 2002
          AutoCAD 2000
          AutoCAD 2000i
          AutoCAD 2002
          AutoCAD Architectural Desktop 2.x
          AutoCAD Architectural Desktop 3.x
          AutoCAD Mechanical Desktop 4.x
          AutoCAD Mechanical Desktop 5.x

yes, i noticed some of the fixtures on the site do have idrop max files, but it seems to have errors, with any web browser i tried. It makes IE have an error which kills it, so I'm afraid to go on their site now

@ern - you should add acad 2004 to the list because that's what I've been using and it seems to work fine...

            thanks
