  • Ford "Accessories"

Ford "Accessories" is the latest spot to come out of our studio, Hatch Studios Ltd, for Y&R Canada. The spot is 100% CGI, combined with photographic elements.

The spot features the 2007 Ford F150 accessories transforming onto the truck from various dynamic angles. As the parts continue to transform, the pacing increasingly builds up until the commercial comes to a dramatic finale. Combined with a frenetic soundtrack, the spot delivers an explosive display of visual energy sure enough to get everyone's adrenaline flowing.

nice one richard, its a shame the glass doesnt reflect the environment a bit more, it would have made the "truck" a bit more dynamic

Flawless animation as far as I'm concerned, partly because I know next to nothing about film. Huge fan of your work and inspiring as always.

But just looking at the stills, here is my initial reaction. There was not enough of a difference in value between the subject (truck and accessories) versus the background and environment. The moving clouds were great, but took too much attention from everything else and blurred the focus of the subject. The moodiness is fine, but to me it just didn't help the overall imagery for what you are trying to sell.

                Richard, great work as usual!
One thing that kind of seemed odd to me is that the cat itself though is in the environment, had studio like reflections. I would expect clouds to be reflected back at it...you know.

There is something....i can;t put my finge on what it is but it sort of looks a little like a scale model. Still great work but the size of an F-150 gets a little lost here.

                  Maybe its the DOF...not sure!!!

Yeah the truck seems "squished"... like the aspect ratio is wrong or something. Would look really nice if you stretched it horizontally. Nice animation though..

animation looks great! I think the truck looks a bit cartoony though (in the materials, I think). Looks like it was a fun project
