  • BMW 3 Series.

whatcha. Finally dusted off an old part finished model, and well, i done it. Another project cleared from the ever increasing, started but not finished pile.
Excuse the grain, and the weird interior, Still suck at studio glass. Overall im happy, but never totally content, as the panel lines suck in areas!

p.s sorry for the image sizes too!

    Looks pretty good
I dont like the paint shader all that much. And it seems like you have some mesh problem leading to weird reflections.

i agree with you on all that. I have wobbly eyes from lack of sleep, and the images are looking even more grainy. Back to the drawing board again.

I'll try a different paint shader, and try and get rid of the grainyness. As for the weird reflections. Some of the panels are a little off, but its impossible to see where until you reflect something. I cant remember why I enjoy car modelling, but I dont seem to give it up!

ill post some ammended ones shortly.

        Try out this material.

Its pretty good. It is however silver, but with a bit of tweaking im sure you could convert it to black.

Some of those mesh problems look like they would appear in a simple grey render.

ya, trying that one now. as for the mesh bits. it unofrtunatly doesnt show up on a grey render. As thats what i modelled it with, lol. It seems that even a touch out on the curve and it plays havok with the reflection line

ill go back and have another look.

well there are some pretty fundimental errors on the model. just found a very good image that high lights where I have gone a little wrong.

So i will try and fix those bits , which should in turn solve the panel issues.

Looking pretty good so far Tim, I'd like to see it when you have fixed the mesh errors though. The wheels and lights look spot on. Has one of the front fog lights been moved by mistake?
