This was a really quick project. I imported a sketchup model, remodeled all the geometry, textured, added lighting and rendered to match the view selected in sketchup.

We don't get much opportunity to do interior renderings, so this was a nice change of pace.

    Total man-hours about 4.
Final render time, about 15-20min for 1600x900

a slight warming of the image would do it nicely for me

I actually like the coolness of it. I think it works for the space. What I would put more effort into though, is getting a cleaner GI solution. Very modern and simplistic interiors like this require the best of lighting quality because it really stands out, especially on the ceiling and at the corner where the wall and ceiling meet.

I took the image into photoshop, and did a hokey variations move on it, and chose like +1 red or something, which changed it just a tad, and made a big difference to me.

I do however agree with the others, a touch more warm would look great.

              Thanks for the input.

The only additional touchup that we did to this image was add ghosted silhouettes (since architects like that sort of thing for a sense of scale). And while a red tint does make the image a little warmer, our color lasers tend to red-shift a bit anyways.

If I had to go back, there's a lot of things I would improve, like the GI calcs, more light sources, additional detail (doors seem a bit too flat to me) and try to capture the wall material better... it's some sort of slightly glossy synthetic panel system. Also the signage is just simple bitmaps, no reflection and the support pegs are missing.

This scene is lit with VRay Sun + Sky, with 3 vray lights in those slots on the ceiling, and one big vray light in the left bottom corner of the hallway to add some fill light to an otherwise too-dark space.
