  • BMW...again

Right. Back again. This time its fixed, and I'm happy with the finished result. So as a right of passage, time to post and move on.

Thanks for everyones support for the last post. I reaslise I jumped the gun in posting, as the car had some major issues, fixing them has made a great deal of difference.

    Heres two more

one thing that is missing is the speckle on the falloff for the car paint. I decided to not to go that route, mainly coz I couldnt get it looking right. Maybe on the next car?

cheers for the positive feedback. There are some little errors creeping in here and there. And the paint material as jonnybefree has mentioned needs a bit of flake on the falloff. I had some problems with that, so decided to go without.

I'm working on a few more images in locations and different studio moods, I'll post em once they are done.

you might also notice that there will never be any rear shots. well not until i fix the rear lights. :P

as for selling the model, well maybe one day. I have several that I keep meaning to put on turbosquid, its just means they need to be finished! which they never are! lol

its pretty good but still doesn't look photoreal to me (if that was your aim) I think to start the car surface is just too smooth. At that close proximity, you can usually start to see minor blemishes in the surface. ie a very small subtle bump is needed.

I would say knock the glow down a bit. Great renders though...
