  • 2 images, not happy with one of them

Was relatively pleased with the night shot but not at a bit happy with the canal shot, design aint great, but need suggestions regarding the rendering itself. (Not too bothered about the bank on rhs of image, it just a rough PS fudge,
    suggestions welcome,

    Thanks,
    Tom

    the night image looks great.
how did you light it? vray lights inside.

i think some more interesting landscaping would improve it. especially as it is along a canal/river.
the stone map might look better with a vraydisplacemnt modifier on the object. might slow the render quite a bit..

nice renders. the night render is superb.

that night image is very nice.

i think the day image requires similar attention - landscaping, people, things on balconies... i would also play with the crop a bit, perhaps lose the white on the LHS or show more? The day shot currently looks a little like a wip whereas the night shot is vey much finished looking

I'd replace the rpc trees if you have something else so they cast proper shadows. Also, unless you're locked into the camera angle I'd move in a little bit and use a wider lens so the left hand side of the building almost fills the frame and the building receeds in perspective. Since the building is a little flat except for the balcony recesses, I'd try to play with the sun angle to get some more dramitc lighting on it - especially down where the building turns the dogleg right. Maybe a late evening shot to get some nice reflections in the window. The sky is a little dark possibly.

BTW: Night shot looks really nice except I think I can see some light cache samples inside the rooms.
        www.dpict3d.com - "That's a very nice rendering, Dave. I think you've improved a great deal." - HAL9000... At least I have one fan.

You've got a repeating pattern issue with the stone.

          That's always an image-killer.
