    A WIP I'm currently working on. having some bad GI artifacts on this one even with high RC preset and 24 subdivs in the QMC... need to get a better grasp of sampling a night scene.

    Looks really nice...

    Have you tried reducing the normal threshold in the IR settings in
    order to clean the GI artifacts ?

          looking nice so far, out of curiosity, could post a version with a material override on it. i would like to see what is model, and what is comped.

            Well, here is a layer brake down for you - top right is the actual rendered image, to it's left the sky buildup and on the bottom the site out-takes that were merged into the final comp.

                              Looks fantastic! Love the integration of the cars.

                              For the splotches, try increasing your Global subdivs multiplier. I usually have mine at 8. With a Hsph. subdivs at 32, this effectively puts them at 256. No splotches for me... even in low light.

                              Or maybe (also) Lele's trick of setting the preset to High, then Custom, and increase the IR Min rate to -6.
