some good stuff here. I would say that, overall the platform looks too saturated.
have look at this image for example. I think your render is in need of some gamma correction:

I saw a thing on discovery channel about the boats that transport the rigs, they actually sink the boat until the rig floats and then refloat the boat! its very cool!

I agree about the platform looks a bit too saturated, but than I found these photos of the same platform (Thunder Horse)
                Need more stuff on mine
Have to do something with the material on those legs...

Really nice. Love the close up shots too. Only crit is the texture on the main tower is a little too large/strong etc. on the closeups although it looks fine in the distance shots. Amazing job overall though.

I think something that might help these, subtle but might help. The horizon line is very very crisp, I think a slight bit of blur/defocus on the horizon would help! Slight bit, just a few pixels!

Also, on the same subject, I think the water as it gets close to the horizon looks a bit bright. Usually the water will be considerably darker than the sky, in your renders the water reflection seems to be a bit bright.

Wow that's pretty amazing work. Grats!

Did you use DS for the water? If not, would you mind sharing the settings? I have a yacht I need to place in water and I cannot get it to look nearly that good!
