I started working on this at home while nursing a broken/dislocated foot/ankle after taking a leader fall. Anyways.. been working on the lighting and materials now that I'm back in the office and any suggestions/comments would be appreciated. It's fairly noisy right now since I'm rendering IR + LC at lower settings; currently about 15-20min just for the render, not including setup.

Looks pretty good.
However I think your light levels are a fair way off. The image is too dark and the lights are too dull.
A quick hit in PS (s-curve and shadow/highlight) and I got this which to me looks a fair bit better. See also how the white board is almost white now instead of gray
Anyway, great images, love the detail on the desk..Mr Potato head.. haha classic

There's are a number of decent crags near where I live in CT; I fell at one called Ragged Mountain. Between here I primarily climb up in the Adirondacks and the Gunks, outside New Paltz, NY. Heh. At least I'm through with 9 of my 12 weeks of non-weight bearing.
Yeah. I'll need to adjust the light levels and nix the materials I was playing around with using VrayDirt.
I like adding some personality, and a sense that somebody actually uses the space, to my models; hence the Mr Potato head, the Muppets poster and the little Godzilla sign on the door next to it.
Hrmm.. Just noticed that I'm going to need an eyewash station and a few fire extinguishers in the space.

Nice Renders! DaForce's adjustments to the one image help it greatly. You should probably do the same to the others.

I created another max file with the two materials in it, saved out the matlib and single bitmap, and then tossed them zipped them.
Um.. try this.. http://files-upload.com/365347/2_mats.zip.html
