  • Day & Night Exterior

These were done in about 6-7 hours, its really only been done to show the client the two plants and the glass canopy over the door and that's it!!

The glass reflection was done in Photoshop (a trick from an work colleague)

I know they aren't amazing as I am not used to exteriors, VRAY Sun and Sky and that's pretty much it, except for the night one where the are 4 VRay lights up the walls. Any exterior tips for the future would be good!!

Im liking it. I wish the first floor stucco was as detail textured as the brick floors. The nighttime shot looks like its missing something. Maybe some glow in post or something.

Good images there. But you have fallen into the fake reflection trap, on the day shot you have shown trees reflecting in the 1st, 2nd and third floors, in effect the building is now reflecting 3 horizons (well not really the horizon but the tops of the trees 3 times). In reality you would only see the tops of the trees once(around abouts the 3rd floor depending how tall the trees are). The first floor would be darker reflecting the trunks, 2nd floor the lower branches and the third floor the tree tops with a bit of sky. Hope that waffle makes sense. On the night shot i would liven the windows up by showing as you have in the day shot, some environment, i tend to use photos of buildings at night with the lights on, cut out a section and paste it in the windows and play with opacity and so on. It will bring the building to life.

        Rather nice.

I second what was said above, and the main light source in the night shot is way way to strong and sharp. Would be more blue I imagine as well.
