  • Another interior

    Hello people,

Another "simple" interior, but i have some questions on how to improve my work.

    First the image (big):

    Now for the questions:
    - some corners are not good visible, like by the books (corners at the ceiling) and edges of walls. if there any way to get this better. like using different lightsetup, or is this caused by render settings.
    - i know the carpet needs more fur
    - any idea how to increase depth of this image?
    - also the lightswitch (next to the door) seems to blend into the wall. hmm why

Well and all your comments and suggestions are Very welcome!

I like the image very much. Personally I find the IES lights a tad too harsh and the outline is far too defined. I like very much the materials you have used on the floor, leather seats and cloth couch. Would it be at all possible to see some settings for them?

Very well done! I hope my images will approach this quality soon!

Looks like your render settings are able low as there is some splotches around the ceiling edges and like you said your loosing detail around the light switch

      Nice render tho

        it's a reasonable simple material.

        Texture : Download

        Material:
        Reflection value : 30
        Fresnel reflections
        Refl.Gloss : 0.7

And a little bit of Displacement for some roughness.

The other materials : (leather and couche) download

Hmm well i think for this format i used fairly high render settings...
          Rendered at 4500 x 2131
          - QMC sampler, ClrThres at 0.001
          - IRmap High preset
Hsph at 50, Interp at 20
          - Lightcash 1000, interp samples at 5

          Rest all default

Thanks for that, much appreiciated. I need to look into learning how to use displacement, it really seems to add a lot of realism to renders. Could I possibly trouble you for your settings for the Red leather and Cloth couch as well? Thanks very much!

Here is another render, GI sollution is very low. so that explains the GI spots on the ceiling and such.
But i have set some different light strengths. think i like this better cause the images gets more depth/contrast.

There are only now some very burned out spots on the ceiling. how can i reduse them but without affecting overall lightning ?

What do you guys think ?

Is there supposed to be a gap between the smoke extractor and the ceiling? And are those bowls on a shelf directly below that? Looks like they are teetering on the edge. Sorry, im just picking cause im bored. Nice image though, the white rug isnt so blown out on the update.
