Hey i use rhino indeed, but I didn't model the snowboard binding (however it is also done in rhino). I modeled the straps+padding and the buckles though (modeled the straps "flat" in rhino, and then used bend modifiers in max).
Other stuff on the site I didn't model is the first version of the binding, and the small silver metronome-tuner thing.
@philippe, yes I'm alone. I mainly use rhino together with max for modeling. It's good for the stuff I do, but if you are a designer and want to develop your product all the way, you're better of with solidworks. Rhino is great for its price, and you can model things quickly. If you need changes, you need to start over again so you gotta keep that in mind while modeling (keep all curves, intermediate steps etc...).
btw do you speak french or dutch

Yes, I also speak 'some' french, from what I remember in school Years and years of english TV and internet doesn't help of course!

Yes I used pflow to create the body with coins. Then converted to mesh to clean it up some more... Moving coins are added manually.
I used vegas for the video editing, and there is a plugin called radiance which creates volumetric effects based on brightness of pixels. Combined with some manual tweaking and animation of the effect, it gives a good result (good enough).
