  • couple plane interiors

    Heya Folks,
Just thought I'd post a couple things I've been working on this year.
The beige-y/orange-y falcon interior was completed from empty scene to final large render in 30 hours. Modeled in rhino, except seat, which was done in max. Rendered in vray 1.5RC3. Post in Photoshop
The second is for a new small business class jet we're working on here at work. In this, I modeled all but lower side wall area and seats. Virtually all modeled in rhino, tweaked some in Max, rendered with vray 1.5RC3. Post photoshop.

    Later!

Nice work. I prefer the first image, the second isnt as interesting to look at. What were your IR settings? Could do with being a bit higher for parts of the walls/ceiling. Cool seats too.

Nice renders. The only things that nag at me are the background in the 2nd image & a little bit of splochiness .

Yeah, this is all stuff I saw as well. As with most of our projects, we have extremely tight deadlines, so Ir quality tends to fail.
And the BG image of the second one was a rather low res jpg.
        They can't all be perfect.

        Thanks for the crits.

        Later!

Chippy, you may want to look at this (link of a link of a link) to get rid of splotchiness while preserving or bettering the rendertimes:

Nice renders, as mentioned however the GI quality could be increase substantially but the timeframe was tight.

                  Looks good tho

What sort of jet is the first image?
My brother owns and operates 2 lear jets and that render looks somewhat similar.

But then again alot of those business jets do I guess.

The first one is a Falcon, not sure of the model. The second is a start up company called Spectrum and that is their S-33 model.

Learjet, nice! We've actually been doing quite a bit of work for them this year. Possibly after the big NBAA conference this year, I might be able to post some renders of new interior concepts we've been working on.

But then again alot of those business jets do I guess.
That is true. We try to push the envelope of design for these jet interiors, but ultimately, it usually ends up getting dumbed down a bit. The problem is most people end up selling it and in order to have that mass market appeal a lot of things end up pretty 'vanilla'. That, and there's very specific engineering that has to take place, so space and structure is always limited.

Ah great. Thanks for the info.

Yeah I can under standing having to appeal to the mass market. Where is the creative flair these days.
