I find the scene has a very good distribution of crowd, cars, vegetation etc. Everything is very detailed. Overall very nice.
But it seems to me that the images lacks some color and contrast. Try this: duplicate layer in photoshop, put it in overlay mode and reduce to say 30%. More or less depends on your taste.
I particularly like your beach and the water/beach intersection. How did you manage to get this looking so good? Hours of tweaking the beach geometry to get a good intersection?
Yeah nice image, i agree with the comments above, well laid out with the 3d people but you've got to change those 3 identical ones on the upper floors! I like the sandy swimming area off to one side and the slide. Very cool. The tiling in the foreground is too obvious for my liking but thats about it. And scrap everyone up to their knees in nice calm water, lets get some decent 8 foot surf going and a few longboards!
I really like the angle of the camera.
Why is it so bright behind the building?
Could you zoom in on to the swimming pool, it would be good to see the detail of the red or yellow 'floating devise'

Hi guys... Thanks everyone for all ur nice comments! We've been working on this project for 6 months already, basically the client can't seem to decide on anything, so we've had quite a bit of time to add detail here and there... Now, due to popular demand, below is a new image, less heavily watermarked and with a slightly different post done in PS, lemme know what u think!
About the beach / water interface, this was done using Dreamscape for the water and special materials for the beach - basically, it has a gradient ramp governing a displacement map for the "dry" areas of the beach and it transitions to no displacement for the areas near the water... as this happens the reflection of the material comes up with the same IOR as the water (1.33) and since it's flat (no displacement) it matches almost perfectly with the water, which has the same effect (a displacement map that disappears as it gets near the beach).
The grass texture is a modified texture from turbosquid, we had to make it a bit dryer as this casino is in the north of Chile (Coquimbo).
I saw the three identical guys the moment I posted the image here, but I'm too lazy for now to get in and change it... will do it for the animation tho. I'll post a link to that when it's done... should be interesting, all the people you see in this shot along with the cars - EVERYTHING - is animated. It's a chore to get max 9 64bit to render it, but I'm hoping the lower resolution will alleviate this problem. It shoots right through the 4GBs of RAM I have.
As a final note, I still would like to get the water looking better... I have the basic water motion going on thanks to Dreamscape but can't seem to find a reasonable way to make breaking waves along the beach, including foam, etc... Any ideas?
