    Hi Folks,

playing around with Dieter Morgenroth's übercool Iso plugin i managed to create these two pics, procedurals used are from the Enhance DT package.

cool stuff. I've been to wiesbaden before. I enjoyed their local flavor of beer.

Has anyone use the Vray Iso to make clouds? Would it work?

not really as VrayISO simulates a hard boundary surface. BUT Dieter did some initial work on an atmospheric that is based on the same techniques :

Yep, it does but as far as i know not in the current public beta version. DIMO showed me some atmospheric stuff that was pretty impressive. I don't have the actual link, but with a little bit of searching you may find a link to his atmospheric tests here: http://www.dimo3d.blogspot.com/

            Hi,

@Bodo: nice images. Do the forms change a lot if you change the stepsize?

Those above were tests with an atmospheric plugin. I hope I can find some time to continue development on this some day. The same thing can be done with VRay shaders as well. I am not sure what would be the better approach, because the 3dmax atmospherics have their own set of problems.
I couldn't get it to a point with self shadowing, and self shadows would be a key feature, I think.

But hey, currently I am working on implicit particle blobs, that will be a nice one, too . The first test crashed Vlado's 3dsmax right away
