  • rendered with the "general settings" from vlado

    hi forum users....
i have rendered the landi-chair scene with the "general settings" from vlado

    -high AA settings (AQMC).... 1/100
-qmc for first and second bounce.... 50/25 samples
    -QMC Noise threshold 0.001

but i have little noise in the image..... is there a way to raise the quality... ?
    i can't edit the QMC noise to 0.0005 ...
and rais the qmc samples like 100/50 changing also nothing...

    i use the V1.5 RC4

Try lowering adaptive amount to 0.85 if it was set to 1, or slightly lower if it was already at .85

i remember someone setting this value to as low as 0.4 before... wonder how that would effect things?

It definitely has a QMC look to the image. Is it even possible to get rid of this noise without changing the methods used?. Double/triple the resolution?. 1280x720 is very low...

        i try it with 0.4

ok with 0.4 it is better... and when i use a noise reduction filter in PS i have my super clean result...

Mario - how did changing to 0.4 affect the rendertimes, and general quality of the image?! (I use these universal settings from time to time, but I also find its hard to get ALL the noise out of the image sometimes)

the image looks nice... maybe a bit too clean and empty... but nice anyways
