  • First Interior WIP

    Hi All

Am trying to put together my first interior job and could seriously benefit from some advice since I see the most amazing work on this forum.

Its a quite simple appart interior looking out through a double glazed louvred balcony.

This image was rendered with Vlados universal setting and LWF with Reinhard filter no post (except for background to be ignored, will change).
Vray Sun / Sky only lightsource.

I have turned off GI for all the glass but am still getting quite a dark interior (started with white walls rgb 150 but they are now fully white). Any hints how to improve this would be great?

Am also loosing some definition to the glass louvres when adding background through alpha in PS. They seem to dissapear a bit too much, although the client wants transparency..
Any idea what settings might benefit edge detail / lighting suitable for this kind of image?

    Thanxs all

Did you also unchecked the glass for casting shadow?

      Post your glass material settings.
For the glass edges to be more defined try turning off the AA filter, or turning your max rqmc up to 5 or 6. Or make an alpha material using the material wrapper for comping in PS, this is what is use for glass in exteriors and its perfect.
Have you played with the override material for brightening your walls?

            joost

I have shadows on for the glass so I can get shadows from the louvres and see a difference between the inside glass and the open glass door.

I will have a go with the AA and override mat cheers
