Here is a night time scene. The image turned out really grainy so I put a filter on it. I kind of like the results. Any tips on night time renderings?

Filter
I am not aware of Evermotion Shop. What is it? It is done in PhotoShop. You don't like it? It was all the rave in the officeBobby Parker

Forgot to add, both images look like good pencil sketches, the filter is removing the 3d'ness of it.
For the night shot I would make it much darker, and brighten the internals more and add a soft glow to any light source, including the shop windows. Use google for night photos for reference.

i personally think this is very ugly.
my clients would punch me in the face until i bleed for using "art" filters.
i would also get rid of the black border around the image.
this effect is commonly used in obituary notices.
i think its called "mourning border".Reflect, repent and reboot.
Order shall return.

Night
I gave the client all three images. Day without filter, day with filter, and night with filter. The client, who is a major developer, loved the filter on both the day and night. I personally like the day filter, but I am not happy with the night. I'll try a couple more projects with the filter as an option and see how it is received. I'll let you guys know the % of the people who like it. I see it being used for the lower budget projects that can't effort all the extra detail, this being one of them. Actually I think this I a freebee.Bobby Parker

Just to clarify. I was looking for a way to fill a need. People have been asking for a softer hand look and I think this works. I haven't seen anything better. So I guess if I have to do this for someone I found something that looks okay.Bobby Parker

I use sketch/artistic filters quite a bit with my work, they definately have their place. Comments such as tammo's have to be taken with a grain of salt. We all have different clients with different needs, and as long as the client is satisfied with your work, you should be satisfied as well.
I wanted to bring a little more life back to the image, hope you don't mind
