The non-NFR. I still kind of like the filter on the ones I just can't seem to get a nice feel.

Bottom image is best. The top one looks to washed out.

IMHO, I'd lose the water puddles and especially the seagulls. The puddles make it look like the lot doesn't drain very well and I'd also make the asphalt much darker. It'll help to 'ground' the image since right now the sky and parking lot are basically the same color with the building floating between. The seagulls would generally be considered a nuisance in the parking lot so I'd get rid of them - if you really want birds in the shot have them flying overhead.

              Church

I am playing with exposure on a new project and I am learning a lot. Once I get this one working I'll re-visit the church. I agree with all your comments.

Yep last image looks pretty good now.
                Action shot FTW

Background trees are maybe a little too green. But not too bad.

                  Hi glorybound

maybe some photoshop post work might enhance the look. I have tried some things in PS. Hope you don't mind:

Maybe it is oversaturated a bit. My screen is not well adjusted.

i like the bottom one, but yeah, tone down the saturation a little.

                    and what dlparisi said.

                      hi
I have one crit about composition if is not too late.
now we are looking from a distant spot and watching church from far away and many other elements between viewer and church.
but I think this is the wrong feeling that ur client want to achieve. I think viewer must feel more part of image and more inside image for this type of work.
I think you choose this point to be able to show all facade of building.
                      so maybe
                      1. using some DOF on foreground so that focus and attention is carried on the building
                      2. adjusting the 2 trees on sides which borders the image in such a way that ı can put one branch coming from right till middle of image. so it forms more enclosed frame shaping up the building and driving attention to the focus (building)
I wish I could explain. sorry if my english is bad.
                      best wishes

What giraffe said is right also if you adjust the cars and the people you could have them pointing to the entrance. Now they are blocking the view into the entrance you need to lead the eye into the door.

I think there should be more reflection on the non wet areas - the transition seems way too quick between the two levels of reflection - the puddle ground should probably have 50% water and 50% reflected sky, the non puddle ground should have maybe 20% glossy sky and 80% ground. The sky is maybe a little bright at the top - maybe feather it off into darkness a bit more?

The dusk exposure is really nice on this - one of the best I've seen you do.

Here's a wee ref on the getty site, you can see a much bigger transition between the puddle and dry section which is quite organic - might be worth getting some good dirty photoshop brushes of splats and grime to make the edges of the puddles less soft and feathered looking. Also the dryer ground still has a blurry reflection of the childrens feet - http://delivery.gettyimages.com/xc/H...B9DEC73543BC08
