    hi @all
time for a new little render.
    hope u like it.

    but i have a problem.
i think it looks a little like a"miniature scene"
any tips to resolve this false impression??

    greets

Looks good. Perhaps forground elements and/or ground to show distance maybe some whispy desert clouds in the distance/horizon? Something closer to the camera like rocks/boulders might give some more scale via the texture. That would probably force you to alter the cameras position a bit.

I think the rocks do not look like real rocks. I know they are pretty hard to do in cg. All the detail. I would suggest to go for more straight jagged rocks.
Also this seems to be quite far away for the tree to be so small. I would say at that distance some atmosphere would be noticeble.

      Something like this

          looks great.

i think its the scale of your rock texture that's making it look miniature.

              It's a fun image.

I didn't get it at first but I see that the image is entitled 'endangered species.'

I think there is perhaps a way to stage the image so more of the focus is on the tree and the stone. Perhaps do away with the large rock formation to the right and have some stones littering the ground around the column, perhaps other column like shapes. I guess I would simplify a bit so that the story element is more focuses. Either way it's a good image.

problems with looking like a miniature are all almost always camera settings related.

make sure your using the same lens, and distances that you would if photographing a real big rock and it should look like one.

dont use dof because it would all be in perfect focus being so far away.

                  that and texture scale.

I like it. I dont think it looks too much like a mini scene - but you have nothing else in the image to base depth on like what the others have said it needs a touch of foreground and/or something in the sky in the background.
