Hey everyone. I don't pretend to be good enough to post in here, but I wanted to share some images I did using Lele's VraySun/Sky workflow. I have to admit, after watching the videos the first time, I thought - "I got it.." well I didn't. Here are two images that shows it:
This one is way too washed out...
And this was too dark...
So I went back, watched movies again and read all the posts on it. Then I think that I understood it. Particularly when I read up on the exposure with the camera and Lele's explaination with the photos of his kitchen (windows being washed out..) So here are some finals. I was able to map the VraySun to a regular Sun and do a series of solar studies to see how the light hits the b-ball courts (Thanks Daforce for the tips!) I know that these aren't really "truely photographic" with respect to the amount of light that comes through the back windows (hence they would be washed out - per Lele's explaination) However, I also understand the his workflow is a starting point and in the end, if it looks good - go with it. Thanks to Lele and Daforce for the infinate wisdom...
(by the way, I know that the textures are somewhat bland and I've got a little light sneaking in under the upper level track to the right of the image.. but for all purposes, these did the trick..)
