    Pretty damn cool.

But it desperately needs a pre-load, i was getting 110KB/s when loading up the page and it was still jerky and the audio was constantly stopping and starting..very annoying.

Looks great tho.. couldnt watch it all... was just too painfull

Will download the swf and watch it

woah! it tripped me out a fair bit
Nicely choreographed with the music. Who is the music by? I know it but i cant think of the name/artist.

What was this piece put together in? looks like AE with a lot of "shine"

Wow, reeeeaaalllllly nice, although I desperately wanted the camera to have a bit of forward motion. Otherwise, stunning.

Very cool, tons of ambiance. I could feel my heart rate drop and breathing slow as I watched it.

Couldn't agree more, if you ever remake it for some reason, a slow forward crawl down the river with otherwise all the same elements of looking around and interacting with things would be stunning. Already was stunning as is though.

well we originally intended to start the view by the edge of the lake, spend some time taking in the ambiance, then 'float' or 'row' out into the middle of the lake, and have the piece start. there is some forward motion at the beginning to take you out to the middle of the lake.

We actually have this working with a Nintendo Wii controller, where you can look around from the edge of the lake before moving into the middle, but this idea was dropped as Flash has terrible resolution constraints. This piece was produced in Full HD, but there is no way you can control a piece of HD footage with the Wii remote through flash, so we scrapped this interactivity and opted for a really crisp HD resolution in 16 bit colour.

we also intended to have an actual boat for the installation that you sit in to really add more ambiance.

(ironically in the end our HD project broke, we hired another which turned up broke so (uhhgg) we ended up just projecting it in normal PAL D1!) Such a let down but we are happy with the piece none-the-less.

there was also a really cool interactive human pacman game that someone (my flat mate's boss) came up with:

was great fun, if only to pin your mates down in a maze and give them a beating. Was a really fresh concept for the design expo. aparently this has become really popular on youtube!
