This is a scene that I am setting up for a Revit file import that should be happening later today. I had a few hours to prep a site from photographs, and figure out my light/camera settings. Did a little PS retouching to make it a little more moody.

Let me know what you think...I still have a little time to add/adjust before I recieve the model

PS: I love the port of the Ivy Generator for native Max use, it works wonderfully!

I like it alot! It definitely has that Fall feeling....like a bunch of leaves could go zipping by. My only comment would be on the fence to the left. If it is supposed to be chain link its way too thick....if its supposed to be like that....sweet...ya nailed it.

        Update:

Anyone have any idea why my gwIvy would clump to the center of my scene when sent over the network to render?

very nice. the render matches the picture. however the picture has way too much red. id actually shift it back to normal colors in photoshop in post

                Thanks for the comments

Actually, it is all rendered...the red was added in photoshop to give it an autumn tone. Here is a slightly less adjusted image, which actually matches my photographs a lot better:

EDIT: I have already gotten feedback from the client, and they like the images, but they aren't especially fond of the origianl red color for the wood siding.

                    Looks really good.
Your grass is excellent. How is it done? just one map and displacement?

Also your vine seems to have no opacity maps so its just green squares.

The grass has, I think, 3 diffuse layers mixed by standard noise maps, and the usual displacement. Actually I think all but one map came from the set you put up...and I probably could have PSed one of them to get the effect I was after with the other map...thanks again, BTW

But I like the squares :P
I was spending all of my time with the Ivy trying to get it to show up correctly in the network renders...could have just converted it to an editable mesh i guess
I will use more leaf-like leaves next time.

                      Thank you for the comments

I might mention something I did a little out of the ordinary with these to give me more contrast...I turned down both my primary and secondary bounces to half.

These are really great. And a very autumny feel, maybe because of your bounce reduction. It also looks a bit post-apocalyptic in a HL2 kind of way. As if the ozone layer is entirely depleted. Nice!

My only crit is the buildings and pavement look too clean, which seems ot make things a bit flat. If you painted some dirt into your pavement and such things might really pop. Cheers.

I am doing a collage with it today, sending high-res renders with the preferred color(the darker beige). I will throw a few dirt maps over it and see what happens

I will post my results if I can find the time.

                            Thanks for the input!
