What was the purpose of this image? It looks to be an old building. Is it for practice? Close your eyes half way and it looks like a photo... great job!
I aggree with pixelstudio in regard to samples. You are way bellow what's required. Just have a look at the splotches under the ledges and around the windows.
I'd suggest to use brute force for both passes. Then you'll get all the subtle shadowing around the small elements like window reveals, ledges etc..It's a simple scene at it should render quite fast
this is a restructuring previsualization job. had to model and render both faces (there is also a front for marketing billboards) in a week and, having a lot of opacity mapped leaves (ivy and bushes), raytracing engine took a lot of time on my duocore.
i'll manage to update my hw to front deadlines.
in these days you proberly are better off doing more in 3D then using opacity maps, try Onyx for some tree and the lovely ivygenerator. those should render fast enough... or you have some weird settings perhaps hehe

i used onyx once (before proxy solution) and i found this kind of trees too heavy (memory error or max quitting without error reporting). at same time i try o use no plugins (such as ivygen & onyx) and split my production time in architecture modeling and stuff modeling.
i'm trying to create a collection of trees, flowers, bushes... in proxy format with modeled leaves (check my "innergarden" thread to see some flowers and Pseudo-Robina tree and "honey" for all vegetation in vray proxy format).
