Here is a house I am working on. I have a couple things I want to tweak, but this is the first go around so I am sure I'll have to opportunity. Any Suggestions would be appreciated.
I like the model and the rendering but I think the sun is not located right, all the facade is in shadow, I'll move it to have at least one elevation with light...the wet areas need more work!!!.
ya, the sun doesn't do anything justice.... I'll work on that. I'll work on foreground and background. I have an all nighter for another project so mabey I'll get back to this mid week.
nice work, i feel the same as flino, a different sun position can be a nice adjustment.
also if you want some softer edges on you water have a look at this plugin: http://www.itoosoft.com/english/menu.php?id=coloredge
I was actually playing with the color edge plugin last week. I wanted to merge the grass with the drive and it worked great, but I couldn't use displacement. The drive is going to be a stamped concrete anyway so I have some work to do on it.
I dropped the camera down because I felt the building is very top heavy, but I guess it doesn't work for the image. I'll raise it back up when I revisit the image.
Great start, maybe loose the birds (seagulls?), they seem forced for such a "small" view, just a bit distracting. Grass loks good, a tad short as others have said, sorry to repeat. Pavement seems flat or strange...mostly the puddles are odd. Nice model, though
Nice - could be one of you best images yet I think,
I would loose the birds or loose most of them,
add a kerb/curb,
bring lighting around a bit or brighten up the texture of the walls.
soften up the edges of the stonework
Here is an update... I am still not as good as I want to be.... I see some of the stuff here and over on Evermotion and I am blown away. I think the key is post production so I am in the middle of some PS tutorials. Does anybody have any good modeling and PS resources?
Wow, update looks very nice. My crits: The stone finish looks a little flat (maybe some displacment would help). The lighting of your background dosn't match lighting of your model.
I like lighting better in update, but camera from first one. did you try an average eye level camera height, like 5'-4" ?
BG is better, still one bird to shotgun, j/k...paving still looks a bit odd.
Overall looking really nice! Kepp it up
