Not much to work with here and of course the client took out the car, trees, people, bushes...LOL... Crits and comments welcome. I only had a day to produce, and I know the roof blows... I have great bitmaps, but usually the roof is the worst thing. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Not bad for a days work. What sticks out to me: The white car and people shadows seem to fall in the wrong direction, reflections on the second floor should show some horizon rather than matching the ground floor and id throw vray dirt on everything. Oh and the other car looks odd. Im just being higly picky though, very crisp and clean for the time worked on it.

The first thing I noticed was the roof tiling. I tend to use MAX's tile generator for roofs... even on those architectural shingles. For this distance you might get away with it.

Looks a little strange to me, more like scanline than a GI solution, what are those planes you have mapped on the windows? are they meant to be the interior of the building (if so it would not be correct)

Yeah...I have since removed those interior...I was just playing around and the reflections always bothered me a little. What makes it looks like a scanline rather than GI? I do agree that the materials are lacking.....Vinyl siding is well....Vinyl Siding

yeah throwing on an AO pass would be very easy to do and add a lot to the scene. For a day's work its very good.

also as a rule NEVER USE 2d people / cars

If you dont already have the latest vray manual try searching the forum, i have just had a quick look but couldnt find the link. The file is about 140mb. Well worth a read as it gives some good examples of how Dirt works.

Dove.....that just makes me chuckle. The vray dirt would definately give this image some more depth.

I think also roof is to rooves as hoof is to hooves...but i may be wrong.

are the people the right height across the image? The guy on the far right looks way too tall.

The sunlighting is weird. It looks too bright and high contrast. Its as if this bank was built just below a massive hole in the ozone layer...
