  • Nerm, from The Chronicles of Nerm

Here is the title character of my film, 'The Chronicles of Nerm'. This still represents the quality of the final film. I've been working on this film for almost 3 years now and am finally moving into the animation phase which is very exciting for me! The entire animation will be rendered using VRay.

Nerm is a walking disaster in the films. While he just wants a friend, awful things start to happen to all the people around him!

You can view my previous Nerm film at http://www.sharecg.com/v/480/animati...of-Nerm-and-BG

My website is www.cwanimation.com, filled with more work from the film, as well as www.myspace.com/nermfilm

    Thanks for viewing!

    No, thank you for sharing.
Love for the characters shows through every bit of your craft.
Attention to detail is as good as it gets.
The short sequence you've shown introduces well the main character, his need for friendship, his trying a tad too hard, and ultimately made me connect with him.

Technically, I'd say the stills are really well executed, with most of VRay's features being used to great effect.

The only thing I'd like to see in its final stage is the animation of bodies.
While faces are really communicative, bodies act a tad too woodenly.
But that's likely because you've just started getting into it, while the look development is advanced, and so well done that expectations for everything else skyrocket.

Personally, I can't wait to see this full-size, uncompressed, and finished.

    Please keep us posted

If you're referring to the original Nerm film, yes, the animation is quite wooden. But that animation was literally the first thing I created as I started 3D seven or eight years ago. The new film will blow the original away, I hope!

Hey, nice Work! I'm looking forward to seeing the final. That's one intense little robot (Previous Nerm Film).
