Just finished an animation that is almost complete. Maybe it is complete. Just have to decide how picky I'm going to be. :P

Looking for C/C. First off - I realize the lake color is crazy blue - that was client's choice. Also, the pools are awful purple for my taste, but again - client directed paint colors for pool bottom.

Other than that, I'm open for any comments. Don't know that I'll make any changes - I'm a bit burned out! However... the fountain really bugs me in the closeups.
Q#1 - Is there a way to get the emitters to not fire simultaneously??!?!?!
Q#2 - Do the ripples bother anyone else? Seems like they should appear to move a bit more. (My first time with a space warp, so tips would be appreciated.)

    Thanks!

nicely done, scott....esp for your first major animation. First off, I can't help you with your emitters as I'm a VIZ guy, but I can't imagine that there would NOT be a way to change that. As for your second question, the ripples don't bother me (nor do your emitters).....but.....what does bother me is the lack of movement for the lake bump on your first pan. Also, the bump for your pool water (and the level of the water seems too high). Nothing I'd worry about rerendering those segments on, though, as I know that's not really something you WANT to do.

Water level is high, because it is an infinite pool! :P (I wish the water falling over the edge of the pool was animated to better communicate that. Any ideas how to accomplish that??)

      All other comments duly noted.

          ahhhhhhhhhhh... gotcha.
It ain't that deep. The purple paint is probably making it look deeper. Like I said - not feeling the paint color. I think the little splash pool would be more tolerable if it were a more neutral color.

Hi. Overall the animation looks great, I'm really itching to do some larger projects like this one. Very nice, only 3 things bother me.

            1. I agree with you, the ripples from the fountain should move a LOT more and there should be more bump in the form of noise in the rest of the water - you'll always have smaller ripples, from wind etc.

            2. Some areas the road and the grass seems to be at the same level. Only place where it is not is at the end where you move away and there are some trees on an "island" in the road. Is this suppose to be like this or did you forget to make the step for the pavement at the rest of the areas?

            3. Yes that blue kidney shaped thing, needs some more ripples. I find for still a noise bump map works well. Not sure for animations, Maybe just animate the noise in the bump?

            Kind Regards,
            Morne

I would suggest a good amount of motion blur for the fountain water.
Though its a big site the animation is quite long and could use a bit of editing.
              Good work overall.

Firstly I think you've done a great job here. Very large site that has been well modelled, textured and lit.

If I were to pick holes (here goes), I would say that it is the actual animations that let it down. What I mean is some of the transitions between shots are very harsh - as in almost a "clunk" from one to the other. Also some of the camera motion is too fast, like the one down the road showing the large RV parking.

If some of the camera moves started slower I think this would be superb.

                Just my 2p.

                Well done.

                  cool! lots of work...

lots of plants.. are you using 64bit loads of ram etc...?

i agree with tct anim editing is cut too sharp.

                      very nice first-timer.

my only major concern for your next project would be to put more time in the camera work.
i think it has a major impact on the mood and on the information you deliver.

Really nice for that amunto of job, never had to deal with such big project.
Are all those vegetation 3d?, in some cases look like 2 planes intersected, but others really do the trick.

Apart form what allready said about the camer movement and transitions, i think the road material could be improved, it´s too plain right now.

Same as above...and that the bus tires are way too big. Overall, really good!
