  • Ford "Thrill Ride"

Ford "Rollercoaster" is the latest spot created at Hatch Studios Ltd, directed by Richard Rosenman and Larissa Ulisko.

Inspired by Japanese illustration, this spot relies heavily on seamless integration of cutting edge 3D computer graphics combined with bold 2D character designs, both existing in a lavish and rich multi-media environment.

Not only did we wish to create a visually compelling spot, but we also insisted in developing a sub-story involving aggressive & chaotic characters attempting to catch the Ford Fusion. This provided a set-up for a wild car chase in which the Fusion inevitably out-maneuvers the characters in a climatic and explosive finale.

Props to our agency and client friends who made this such a fun project to work on.

Yeah, Vlado - VRay Toon kicks ass. Not only is it nice and simple to use, but the line quality it produces is far superior to Max's Ink N' Paint shader and various others I've used. Mental Ray's is the only exception - but I still prefer VRay for it's simplicity. Good job, man...

Must have been some serious post work to get all different styles together, or was it all rendered in one scene?

Could you brifly explain how you took the vray render through to finished ani, the software you choose to use, file formats, render elements you tend to favor and how you get the best out of them?

                    regards,

                    Mark

Nice spot and great combination of toon and realism.

I really don't like the look of the American styled Focus... I think the European version looks alot better. Especially the ST *drools*
