        I have to agree with everyone else. The car dynamics were really exceptional, and for me they were especially convincing in "Mine." Both of the ads seem very well thought-out, especially for such a tight timeframe. Congratulations!

                These ads are great! Congratulations!
                I specially like the mix on "spy hunter". A revamped 8bit style can never fail.

                    Thx Daniel !

                    Ahh see, great to know that you use vray's mb - I made some tests, was a little bit slow so I usually use the max mb - anyway, great stuff.

                    @off topic:
                    and now it's time to make a new guitar jam.... hehe, I am curios, maybe you have some new stuff I would like to hear.....

                        Both great pieces of animation. Spyhunter concept is great. The various aspects of the car simulation is superb.

                          Chris- can you talk a bit about the development process? Are you given storyboards by the director and you animate to that? Or do you just get an overall impression from him of what he wants? I am also wondering how you time each shot? In your shot breakdown are you given exact segments to match? I have no idea how this process works on your scale.

                          Thanks

                            Mark Glaser (the owner and creative director of Sway) was the director.

                            Generally what you get is boards from the agency. This is a rough idea of what the commercial is about. We expand from that, and generally make a script and more detailed boards. This can happen during pitching in order to sell yourself as director. Then you do a previz based on those boards. Then the previz goes through edits, and gets refined, then you look to get a locked edit from the director and the agency. Once you have a locked edit, you get a shot list and you do your final animation. Lucky for, us the previz was done with our simulator so the car animation was done. Camera animation is usually finaled during previz. So in our case the the only real additional animation we had to do was FX (smoke, water, etc...) While previz is going we are developing the look, modeling, texturing, shading, yada, yada.... Then light, render, comp... Those last three steps usually take the longest.

                              motion blur

                              Hello Chris !

                              Maybe you wanna help me out with your motion blur settings.
                              I tried also the max image motion blur, but I get weired artifacts.

                              Would you like to let us know, how you setup your vray motion blur in your scene ?

                              many, many thx,
                              bernhard

                                Looks like you are using a bad sampling method. Try using DMC...
