  • National sport center - WIP

Hello, here is my WIP project of hall for indoor sports.
Can anyone recommend me optimal settings of irradiance
map for this kind of space?
For this render I used irradiance + light cache.
Irradiance is set to high with Hsph subdiv. 80 and Interp. sampl. 50.
Or what method/setting would you use for this?

I don't have a suggestion on IM settings, but I do have a different suggestion. Increase the number of samples on your sun. That will eliminate the noise around the edges of the sun's shadows on the floor. Other than that, I think it looks pretty good.

i agree it looks pretty good already!. I'd probably lower the noise threshold a bit more as well for such a large space as there is a bit of noise visible here and there

and probably clamp and sub pixel render to get rid of the jaggy highlights.
id also suggest adaptive DMC AA to make sure those guide wires render properly.

Id strongly reccommend raising your Hsph subdiv. to 150+ and Interp. sampl. down to 20 or less. The problem you have with your settings is the solution is getting "blurred" a massive amount with 50, the detail is getting removed. The render times will go up, bu the quality will get much better ( I hope, let us know!)

Oh and a LC of 2000, maybe more.
