I haven't posted in a while and thought I'd do so. Not sure if the people are hurting or helping. At least they give some scale.

    Comments and suggestions please.

Looks pretty neat. Maybe a bit washed out, for my liking anyway. Photoshop curves adjustment would sort that out.

I think the people give it a sense of what the building is. Doesnt really detract in my opinion.

I like the last image in context of feel. I agree with steveiouk, something seems funny with the 1st 2. Makes me think of my accurender days with Revit. I dont like the white painted people. If they were bronze they'll look like some of the people statues you get is some malls here by us I would put real people or just outlined ones...
Other than that, it looks great!
      Kind Regards,
      Morne

Heh.. with the world famous DaForce s-curve applied.

        Before

        with curve adjustment

Maybe I'll try a shot with Real People whited out; they rarely look like they belong in outdoor scenes. Then again, neither do my statues, but at least the lighting works with them.

*grin* Maybe I'll make the running kids into bronze statues.

Um. Current camera settings are the basic Sunny16 rule: f/16 ISO, 100, Shutter 100.

        Linear Multiply - Dark 1.25 - Light 2

What do people recommend for Color Mapping? Should I overexpose and then use Reinhard to tone it down?

And playing around with the Sketch Master plugin in PShop and some layering effects. Has anyone bought this plugin? Any problems with larger images?

I use sketch master, and yes, getting it to work on larger images can be somewhat cumbersome. I kinda reserve it for the smaller "bonus" images.

            Nice images

EDIT: While you are at it, you might try out Gertrudis also, and Fractalius is another one from Redfield that works pretty nicely.

I really like the people/children. Have you tried "AKVIS Sketch"?

beestee - Thanks! Hrmm.... I'll have to try Sketch Master on a board sized image and see how well it manages. Right now I'm trying to get these images to render without Blue Screening my system.

Wow.. that Gertrudis stuff is pretty wild; standalone only though?

glorybound - I can't seem to get the same feel with AKVIS Sketch vs Sketch Master. I'll have to play with it a bit more once I get these views to render.

Here is a result of a few runs through Fractalius with different blending, and a sketch master watercolor layer with blending. Not sure what it is about these types of plugins, but I can't get enough of them.

Yeah. I wasn't happy with the results from Sketch Master when used on a large, 4620x3300 pixel, image. I ended up just using a few Photoshop filters, curves, blending layers, and a VrayEdgesTex pass.

Very nice. Why did you have to due the filter? was it a client request?

Ah. The project architect wanted to see something a bit softer/more sketchy.
