    Hi guys,

It's a bit old news now, but here at realtime:uk we worked on the new Motorstorm2 Debut Trailer.

You can catch the trailer here http://www.gametrailers.com/player/31751.html

We were responsible for all of the race footage. All of our bits were rendered in Vray, with vray proxies for the jungles.

Nice one. Somebody still thinks that it is a realtime graphics
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

That was the problem with the first one as well. I forgot to mention we did the first motorstorm movies too.

              Hi guys,

              Thanks for the comments.

I'm trying to get some w.i.p images together to show you, but i'm a bit busy on another job. hopefully i'll have something for you tomorrow.

Production took place over 7 weeks with 6-8 artists.

                  Right then, some extra info

All of our shots were rendered in Vray using the sun/sky system and physical cameras for motion blur. The smoke was done using afterburn.

The first racing shot going down the long corridoor of jungle was about 73million polys.

The line of trees and vegitation directly next to the track and the next couple of rows in, are all geometry trees, converted to vray proxy objects. The trees any further back than that are just billboard trees.

The library of trees consists of our own modelled geometry trees and some xfrog trees.

All of the vehicles were hand rigged and animated using techniques developed from doing motorstorm1.

                    Top stuff Phil.

I remember hearing that you guys had created the original Motorstorm trailer during all of the mystery & controversy surrounding it. It must have been agonizing not being able to tell anyone about it! Are you guys going to be handling any of the in game FMV's? Arkvfx did a good job on the last one.

Everything in the animation looks great. I'm not quite sure I buy the weight of the collapsing tower, but aside from that it's fantastic.

I loved this trailer when it was released... And I still do!
Did you do that whole 13 second shot as a single scene? I can't tell if there's any cuts but it looks like the screenshot you posted contained less of the track then that.

Very cool, Tony came to 3ds London on Wednesday and showed us this. I hope one of you guys can come down next month and tell us a bit more about this project.

                            Yes, it's one big scene

We did render it in seperate sections though

                              Thanks AJ,

The mystery & controversy surrounding MS1 was a real pain, and still i don't think that many people know we did it. Maybe I should post that too

At this point in time, i don't think we'll be doing the in game work.
