  • how to control reflection wit vraysun/sky?

hi, i have the problem that i cant`t control the reflections when i work with vray sun/sky. when i deactivate the vray sky in "rendering/environment" i get a black background and not the color i defined there. also "vray environment/refl-refr environment override" only brings black backgrounds and refexions.
i need this, as the reflexion of the vray sky in the first floor is not blue(what i want)

What you are getting is a true reflection in your glass of the environment. The glass on the first floor is reflecting the horizon line which in your scene appears to be a hazey grey. Try raising your sun.

To have total control of your reflections just do it in post, otherwise I use one vraysky for my environment which goes in the 'environment and effects' slot and again in GI override, and then make a copy of it and call it soemthing like REFL/REFR and drop it into the reflection/refraction override slot. But you will need to play with increasing the intensity which will put more blue into your glass. Also, make sure reflection/refraction is checked on in your global switches. Minor detail but if its off your glass will render black.

might also want to check how teh reflection is falling off. Looks like as the glass becomes more perpendicula to camera it reflects less. This effect is right but you might want to cheat it to get look you want.

          From the VRay help files:

Turbidity - this parameter determines the amount of dust in the air and affects the color of the sun and sky. Smaller values produce a clear and blue sky and sun as you get in the country, while larger values make them yellow and orange as, for example, in a big city. For further info, please see the Examples section.

So maybe just turning the turbidity down could help?

2.15 give the nicest result i find. lower and the sky is too cyan at the horizon. the sky here in the tropics is way different to sky found on large land masses with polution
