Karba, genius solutionObviously I can't use all a beauty transform option in VRayscatter. But it's a 90% useful, so thanks for the "video".
Another question, about the texture. Now I've a tree with ID n°2 in my sub-object material. If I want to change the color foliage I put a vrayscatter in the diffuse color. But, only random color, not a texture can be randomly changed.
Or there is this option.
And it's possible add a shortcut for VRayScatter? So i can add VRayScatter in my toolbar?Last edited by cecofuli; 24-10-2009, 05:05 AM.

my wish is to control animation offset via greyscale texture map

... really tried hard but could not find a way to control an animated proxy by a map, like it´s done in the explosion example for the 2.5.6 version.
where does the map have to go in VrayScatter ?
Are all the blocks one animated proxy that gets controlled, that would be me ultimate guessLast edited by tryharder; 25-10-2009, 05:15 AM.

And, it's possible make a "pre-scatter" process multithread? Because if we have a 4.000.000 proxy, vRayScatter take 4-5 min and my Xeon uses a 12% CPU power. It's not very goodLast edited by cecofuli; 26-10-2009, 02:33 AM.

What surface do you use for scatter. Is it heavy?
Try to uncheck Border Behaviour\Use Surface Bordersorry for my English

Not to much. It's a grass surface for a futuristic desert city. I will try with uncheck Border Behaviour\Use Surface Border. I will scatter about 3.000.000 proxy grass model. It's ok, but the pre-scatter process it's about 6-7 min.

I know Vue spews out thousands of cache files for it's ecosystems, so maybe something similar could be done - some kind of "Scatter Cache" which calculates and efficiently writes necessary information to a file, where you can tell it to load from that file rather than re-calculating every frame or whenever you render, when you're not working on VRS settings.
