  • A very quick courtyard

This was requested towards the end of the day yesterday; rendered after I left.

What could have I done differently, if I had the time?

      Heh. Start over.

I'm going to peruse Turbo Squid for some PS people. Can anyone recommend any specific texture packs out there?

A little chamfering on the edges of those seats.

        Lighting looks great.

Looks nice and natural, but I think the scale of the grass seems a little big for those people, either tile your displace map/diffuse maps, maybe lower the amount of disp.

I would try to crop the frame on the right or rotate the camera target toward left in order to almost completley remove the useless gray building on the right (leave only its shadow on ground to suggest it); this should help opening your view

well in your latest image I must say, the ligthing looks just about perfect! The contrast between sunlight and shadow is in my opinion perfect! If only now somebody can fix the look of this VRSky!
Could you post your settings for your latest image please?
                Kind Regards,

Nothing special. Daylight system with Vray Sun and sky, LWF workflow and plenty of post work in Photoshop; using a VrayPhysical camera with white balance would've probably helped with that.
