  • Music video rendered with vray

it didn't need any of the features of vray as such but it went through it for it's motion blur. More of a tracking job than anything else but anyway

Exactly! Can you talk about how you went about tracking it?

I'm also curious how you went about lighting and rendering it. Even though it's a continuous shot, did you break up the footage into parts so you could light smaller portions?

doesnt look that hard. its all steady cam. the focal length doesnt look like it was changed which would really complicate it.

Any chance of a download link? Embedded quicktime crashes my browser instantly for some reason.

Really nice, must been quite a challenge to track all that.

One thing I find a bit weird is the sky is really strongly colored, mostly purple, but all the rest is not affected by that at all, so it's looks kinda weird.

Yep it's a bit weird alright - I was suprised how poor the quality of hdcam is too. Elf you're right, it's more slog than anything else, it was 4300 frames at hd so it was damn slow to cache and track - quite difficult to filter data across that length and find out where things are causing issues to get a solve that works across all the entire length in the way you want. Good practise

The original Link is giving that too so i assume something went fubar.

Was able to watch it before tho and having tracked some nightmare shots i gotta say damn nice work! Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

                    Regards,

how long did the track take?
What software if you don't mind us asking - boujou?

That does look like a nightmare to do in one single track....well done.
                          I really like the concept.

                          good stuff congrats

I used syntheyes and it took a few days spread out over the course of a few weeks - it was a favour job so I couldn't work on it full time. The slow up was largely to do with my computer more than anything else. Definitely buy syntheyes if you want to track anything, it's lightning fast and the support is great.

pretty cool. looking at her cg face, I somehow feel the need to see what her real face looks like. Any chance?
