  • Restaurant Interior

I haven't posted any work in a really long time. Now that I am self employed again it is a little easier to do that. This is a new concept restaurant going up in Phoenix AZ. There might be a few last tweaks but this is about it. Comments & suggestions welcome.

Cool. Nice work on the floor woodwork. I'd love to see your shader setup for those big light shades!

Not yet! Still up here in Providence, though a move back to Phoenix is a definite possibility. I still have client connections there, so thats primarily what I'm focusing on and most familiar with.

Thanks. The setup on the shades was very simple. I just used a vray 2 sided material with the normal wood material as the sub material, and thats about it. I did brighten the interior of the lamp shade a little because it had almost the same intensity as the outside when rendered.

Does this version look better? I punched it up a little this morning.

Much better, the old one looks dead now.

Which lights are casting such a nice pattern on the yellow wall in the background? Did you just use a nice looking .ies file, or was it actually specified?

I'm a bit embarrassed to ask.., but, how did you produce the nice lens flare?

Thanks. All the lights were specied, but it was kind of a rush project so I didn't have time to go searching for all the proper ies info. For most of the lights I just used standard spots, but up against that yellow wall I did use some ies lights for the effect.

As for the flares, I don't remember exactly how I found this, but you can buy this fantastic cd filled with hundreds of different flares & sparkles. It was cool, I was finishing up the project on Friday and I got the cd in the mail just in time. I think it actually adds quite a nice effect to the image. For $25 I think it's well worth it if you do a lot of interiors. http://store.tabletopstudio-store.co...areffects.html
