Hello guys,
for those of you who are regulars on cgarchitect.com, hello!

for those that arnt, I'm Tom and Ive decided I should post some of my non-architectural work somewhere, so here it is...
I welcome any comments you may have.

I really like the first image. Great concept and execution!

Great images, and fantastic textures! I cant find any faults!

Is everything in those scenes 3D?

Thank you for the compliment,
The singer in the first image was shot in a studio holding a mic. I also shot a silver ball there and used that to light the mic. FIrst time i did unwrapping to get the glowing textures onto the mic, so was an interesting project.

The lipsticks are all 3d

The bathroom is all 3d. The guy in the tub is photographed and comped, as are the TV and the magazines on the floor. The tub is 3d tho.

(just realized the bathroom shot is a WIP, I'll post the final when I remember where I saved it....)

Hey Tommy, alias_marks from over on cgarchitect. Definitely some nice work here. It's well executed enough to really focus on the artwork of it.

I find it nice to visit these two boards and get some perspective outside the cgarchitect realm. I'm sure you'll enjoy browsing over here too.

Are you able to post a wireframe of the first image?
Was it all just poly modeled/meshsmoothed? The matching is great, it's such a slick image.

The bathroom one gets let down a little to me - it's good, but a little too 'cg' - the dirt is possibly overdone and uniform in places, and the colours a bit too varied.


On the whole it's really good work though.

Sure thing, here's the screen grabs. Thanks for the comments on the bathroom shot. Not something I'd noticed on either counts. Its always good to get a second opinion.
