  • Poor Zebra - 3 interiors

Long time I've not posted something in the forum. Here are 3 interiors I've just finished this week, hope you enjoy and feel free to C&C

I'm not a big fan of the exterior view in the first one but I did received the pictures from the client and hadn't the possiblity to redo the picture correctly...

Thanks to Peter for the help with the carpets

All images are between 3k and 4k wide, rendered in LWF (5 to 10h rendertime with bi-quadXeon), universal method DMC 0.01, some photoshop for the curves work, background, glow etc.

Great work - really clean interiors! Only crit would be, as you have pointed out the integration of the background in the first, maybe it could have been bloomed/burnt out more

Totally agree on that one, it was client's wish to see some blue and some green and didn't manage to keep the color while burning out more the image

Really good. I like the last one too but if i lived there id have to change that wallpaper, it'd make me spaz out after a few drinks.
I also want to reach out and touch the pink throw in the second image, i reckon it would feel slimey like a tongue!

Have to admit, the zebra looks very nice, a friend of mine has one... of those... things, on his floor.

                  I presume it was modeled?

                    very cool pics.
could you share the pattern-texture on the left wall from the 1st pic?
i'm doing a project and the client wants exactly that texture !
i would really appreciate it. thanks.

Yes, it was modeled from a texture. This texture was simply a photo of an existing rug flattened in PS

As long as you don't ask me to share something that took me more than one hour to make, I can share that I'll do monday when I'll be back to my office, it's very simple, I had had twenty minutes or something to recreate it. It's only one diffuse texture and an inverted BW reflection one with .85 glossiness

they are all pretty flawless in my opinion - i'm surprised you got such a clean result from a noise threshold of 0.01 - what was the AA max subdiv set to?
They are all gorgeous; well done, nice work.
The bath looks like it's glowing or generating light but i presume this is intentional, or some refractive glossy material or something?
                        lovely design and render results!

Here is the first image wallpaper textures, with the inspiration reference

Put the colored image in diffuse, and use the other map as reflection map, my values were 0,8 glossiness with a value of 10 for the map but I think the real wallpaper is even more reflective (I mean, glossisness of 0,85) with some bump in it.

Maybe because the images were rendered in 4000 pixels wide, and at that size, you can't see the grain anymore, no?

Bath is an Aquamass dip d-light with integrated LED Light is actually less uniform within the shell of the bath, but the effect I got in the image was clean and the client was pleased so I didn't push the realism too far

They even do it in pink !

I like these clients just because of their taste. Not that I'd put this furniture in my appartement but it makes nice images anyway
