  • Kitchen Interior

Hey guys..this is my first Vray interior. I've been doing exteriors for a long time now, so I was excited to get into the interiors. Feel free to comment about anything. Design, materials, everything are all my doing. Thanks!

    Hi peakyfreak,

Not bad for a first forum post.. I think you should work on your materials a little more, get some specular highlights on your surfaces to give the image more depth, I think also you need to do some post work to bring out the colours.

Hope you dont mind, a little post work, would also be good to save your alpha channel so you could paste in a faint background.

Good stuff, i think theres quite a bit of noise showing on your materials, it can mostly be seen on the metallic objects, spoons/fridge etc.

Thanks guys for the advice. I completely agree about the noise on the stainless steel. I hadn't done a close up yet and its pretty nasty. Thanks, natty for the comments. Giving it a bit more of a warm feel definitely helped bring out the colors. As far as the specular goes, all the materials are pretty dead on to their real counterparts. Now, my choice of materials is a different story. (the countertops are concrete, btw).

Well, its off to Independence Day festivities. Hopefully I don't blow off a hand in an unfortunate fireworks incident!

Dont worry about blowing a hand off, just control z or apply a cap holes modifier to your arm.
