Good reel! Great to see the church scene animated. It's one of my favorite scenes demonstrating the clever use of displacement.

Had a bit of Donnie Darko mixed Hannibal feeling trough the opening...

    Best regards,
    A.

Thank you for your nice words... it's my first try to make a general reel... not pretty sure about that all, but I am glad you like it.

Nice mix of work - some real talent there. My only negative is that I really don't like the mix of the soundFX with the gentle background music. It seems to clash too much IMhO.

Some really nice stuff in there - my only points would be, and this is just me, that I think it's too long - the stuff at the end listing all the software packages in great detail, awards and such - I'm not sure if it's needed. I'd have stopped your reel at about the 3minute mark, or whenever the work finished. 6 minutes is a long reel I think.

Also, do you need the editing and compositing bit? I don't understand it - it didn't (to me at least) show editing and compositing skills. Maybe I missed something I think you've demonstrated the editing bit, in that you edited together your reel, but the compositing part didn't stand out with that segment. I think a better way of showing how you've composited a piece, is to have the layers coming together one by one.

Oh, also a few typos at the end - lenght and generall!

My comments are about the same, I would have cut it to about 3 min.
And the typos ( modelling with precession) a little in your face.

So great work overall. But I would say it does need a little rework.

I apologize if it's supposed to be funny, but you misspelled Precision at the beginning of the modeling section. I admit that it's pretty ironic and made me smile though. I'm just not sure what Precession means.

Very nice reel Bernhard, but its like you let some dude from Fox News do the transitions and sfx.... they don't sit so well with the rest of your work which is all crisp and clean. I guess its down to personal preference I guess

I loved the cloudy city, what did you use for the clouds?

You must have a few workstations to compute this all?

I like the work - especially the very beginning. The cloud pieces are very impressive as I don;t see too may works with that effect. Towards the middle half I start to lose a little interest because the credits are too long. If you shortened the credits, I think that would help a lot.
