I think it's off to a good start, but I like the 2nd image more than the 1st.

    Some comments:
    - 3D trees are a bit dark
    - paver texture tiling is noticeable
    - paver texture is begging for some displacement?
    - the, I think they are, stairs are reading as one mass, would a VrayDirt material help there?
    - the grass is off to a good start, but the tiling of the texture is noticeable
    - the metal panel roof seems off somehow in the 1st image

*3d treed could get a bit lighter, but this is actually what the client prefered

**tiling on the grass, yep i know....the grass was suposed to have a cut grass look, therefore the tiling....i agree its a bit distracting at some places

***the cobblestone...yeah ive left it as is....would anyone know about a nice cobblestone texture which is NOT tiling? ))...once printed on A4 photo these r not so visible

****stairs, unfortunatelly ready as one mass and that is cos of the lighting conditions), am not sure whether a dirt map wouldn make it fake...anyway thanks for the tip here will defo try it

*****dotn get the metal panel point...hwat did u mean by "off"?

anyways....the images is get as good as the client is willing to pay...could spend 20 more hours on preparing mats and photoshoping, but that would be no way near to rentability

      thanks for the points

For the first image, I really like the nearly foggy mood, different of the overcrisp daylight usually seen. Really nice mood.
3d vegetal stuff is quite nice, what (library/package) is it?
I agree on the grass tiling, but on the other hand, the terrain itself, geometry, is nicely done.

thanks, the only 3d vegetation in the scene is those dark trees around the house...otherwise its all PS, 3d trees r Evermotion although i had to go into some serious material tweaking as they originally come out very saturated

The cobblestone texture is fine; nothing that a little time spent in your image editor of choice can't fix to reduce the tiling, plus some noise in Max.

Hrm.. not sure.. the metal panel has a soft look to it in the first image, while the rest of the image is crisp? May just be file compression.

*grin* The stairs don't have to be 100% accurate, but you'll want them to read as stairs.
