  • Quicktime VR of a Bedroom - problem with distortion

    Hi Guys,
Here's a test I'm doing for a quicktime VR of a bedroom. If you take a look at the wall with the double window, you can see how the lines that should be horizontal are slanted. The walls above and across from the bed look ok.

    Here is the quicktime: http://www.tangram3ds.com/uploads/wi.../VRproblem.mov

Here's what I mean by the slanted wall:

Has anyone else encountered this? Any solutions?

If you're trying to view the quicktime VR on 64 bit windows, you'll be better off using the excellent devalVR player: http://www.devalvr.com/paginas/productos/index.html

    Thanks!

Before rendering the images for your QTVRs you must make sure your camera is pointing perfectly straight ahead..

Thanks, I'll try that. I figured if it was a 360 degree spherical camera, it wouldn't matter where I pointed it.

if u use < Pano2qtvr > soft... and render 360 camera, it doesn't really matter the vector of the camera and so on .

          personally tested !
