                Hey Richard, for your post Lens Effects, you should give a go at DoFPro, it's really cool.

                  Haha, I went snowboarding in Tahoe in the late 90's and found this magazine at the newstand. Glad to hear it's still going.

                        very cool images, just wonder...

                        in the first image i saw the cool sunlight sparkle on the bright area's, can you share with us the way you do it?

                        is it PS? AA? lens flayer plug?
                        do you render the scene to render element?...
                        how do you use it in animation?
                        thanks for reply.

                          Hi Tomer;

                          All the sparkles, glows, flares, etc are hand-made in Photoshop. I don't particularly like using the PS plugins because they all end up looking the same so I make my own. It's not too tough and worth the visual result.

                          I don't render to element but I render everything in passes. For instance, the first image has an RGB pass, highlight pass, VRay Edges pass (seen at bottom), ambient occlusion pass, Shadow pass, etc.

                          Then I do it all in PS, including the background created from numerous elements. The only thing I will ever use a plugin for is for DOF, and, well, that would be my DOF PRO.
